Find Help, Find Hope!

Presentation Speaker

Dear Prospective Speaker,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a NAMI Southwest Washington Presentation Speaker. We would love to get to know you better and help you learn more about us to see if we would be a good fit.

Volunteering helps counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. The social contact aspect of helping and working with others can have a profound effect on your overall psychological well-being. Your valuable lived experience can help to change the lives of other members in your community living with mental health. Sharing your story with those who work out in the community can be therapeutic and help stay in recovery.

As a Presentation Speaker, you will gain access to NAMI Trainings that will teach you valuable skills on presentations and public speaking. These skills are also applicable to everyday life.

Presentations are scheduled throughout the month. Presentations are morning, afternoon, or evening and run for 1 – 3 hours long. NAMI SW WA requests a commitment of 2 years, speaking in a minimum of 3 Presentations a year.

To volunteer with NAMI SW WA, you must be at least 18-years-old.

Training to become a is provided, when available, through NAMI Southwest Washington. Training is either in-person or online.
