What is See Me?

SEE ME is a mental health educational presentation about mental health disorders, communication techniques, and stigma. The presentation includes a panel of individuals either living with a mental health disorder themselves or who have a family member living with mental illness.

We realize that many times fear comes from not knowing. SEE ME is designed to introduce an individual who takes the audience through their own story of mental illness, finding treatment, entering recovery, and what’s next for them.

Audience members are able to ask questions and give feedback to better help them understand mental health disorders.

See Me Goals and Objectives:

Foster an environment of mutual respect
and understanding

Educate the public about the real-life experiences of individuals living with mental health disorders

Promote positive, compassionate, safe interactions between people seeking services and community agencies

Engage in ongoing conversations to reduce the stigma of mental illness throughout our community
