Kim Schneiderman
Executive Director
Kim spent almost 23 years in the pharmacy field, focusing on mental health. She also has experience with government and mental health agencies, the department of corrections, state and local hospitals, residential providers, and substance abuse providers.
Before becoming the Executive Director, Kim was the Board President of NAMI Oregon and then NAMI SW WA. She has volunteered thousands of hours over the years to various NAMI organizations and continues to collaborate with others in the Southwest Washington community and beyond.

Sandy Silveria
Administrative Assistant
Sandy worked in Developmental Disabilities for over 30 years before coming to NAMI SWWA. She started the Clark County DD Parent Coalition, was the first Personal Agent for students with transition funding upon leaving high school and had her own business for 15 years, taking adults with developmental disabilities on one-on-one vacations all over the world. She is excited to be with NAMI SWWA in a less “out in the field” role as Administrative Assistant, and says that this will be her last job.
Sandy is the proud parent of two incredible young men. Her oldest is a musician who lives in the other Vancouver – Canada – with his wife and her granddaughter. Her youngest, who experiences Angelman Syndrome, lives in Supported Living here in this Vancouver. In her spare time Sandy really enjoys meeting up, and catching up, with friends from all her past jobs.

Izzy Schneiderman
Office Dog & Wellness Ambassador
Izzy brings more than just cuteness to the NAMI Southwest Washington office. She offers comfort, calm, and unconditional love to everyone who stops by, whether they’re seeking mental health support, resources, or just a moment of peace. As our four-legged Wellness Ambassador, Izzy plays a special role in creating a space where mental health education and advocacy are met with compassion, connection, and care.
She has a gentle way of knowing when someone needs a quiet moment, a warm welcome, or just a reminder that they’re not alone.
Izzy reminds us that support isn’t always about words. Sometimes it’s just kind eyes, a quiet presence, or a loyal friend who’s always by your side.

Layla Schwab
Office Dog & Wellness Ambassador
Layla is a spicy but sweet Chihuahua at heart. Layla definitely knows what she wants when she wants it. In Layla’s free time she enjoys walks, cuddling underneath a warm blanket, plenty of belly and ear scratches, and most importantly protecting her Dad from the deadly leaves, squirrels, and gusts of wind that might hurt him.
Layla, through the art of cuddles, wagging her tail, and knowing exactly what people need in a moment of distress is a wonderful assistant wellnes ambassador. If you are having a hard day, she takes a few to warm up, but once she knows you, offers plenty of kisses, laughter, and most importantly overall comfort. She is 13 years old and is a very spoiled beautiful princess.
