Donnelly Walk, now in its 13th year, is the expression of thanks from one grateful Vancouver family to NAMI SW WA. Thirteen years ago, Ann and Mike Donnelly, who had attended NAMI SW WA signature Family to Family class, wanted to raise money to make sure every family in the future in need of the life-saving help they had received for their son Mark would receive help free of charge.
Ann and Mike knew they could count on many friends and supporters to join with them on a Saturday morning to accomplish that objective. So they decorated their garage, baked scones, and brewed coffee, and invited everyone to stop by and walk with a chosen walking buddy, including dogs and kids, in the beautiful Vancouver Heights. Ann drew up route maps ranging from 3 miles to 10 miles, and Mike joined to offer plenty of snacks and coffee.
