Connection Support Groups

Welcome to our NAMI Connections Support Group page!

NAMI Connection Groups are free, peer-led support groups for adults living with mental illness. Gain insight by hearing the challenges and successes of others. All our groups are led by trained leaders who’ve been there. These meetings provide a safe place of understanding, encouragement, and hope. Connection groups offer a relaxed approach to sharing the challenges/successes of coping with mental illness.

We have 3 Connection Support Groups available; the signature Connection group, the Dual Diagnosis group, and our Women’s support group.

More Information on Connection Support Groups

When we talk about mental illness, we do mean any mental health disorder. Whether you are diagnosed or not, all are welcome. Bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, psychosis, anxiety, or depression – whatever it is, we provide a safe space for those overwhelmed by the journey of mental illness. Find resources, make friends, find hope.

  • Meets weekly for 90 minutes
  • Free of cost
  • Follows a flexible structure without an educational format
  • Does not recommend or endorse any medication or other medical therapies
  • Led by peers with their own lived experiences
  • Confidential

All NAMI Support Groups are confidential – participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish. Meetings will be guided by NAMI Connection’s Principles of Support. Prospective participants are welcome to drop in and check the groups out!

What are people saying?

  • NAMI Connection has enabled me to take a good look at my illness and see that I am not alone. The program has given me additional tools to not only accept my illness but to help others along the way.

  • People can solve problems at a NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group. It isn’t just a bunch of sad stories; people are coming up with solutions and stuff to do for the next week. One of our group attendees is taking her meds and getting herself to her counselor and is just about able to go back to her career in great part due to Connection.
